For the best results, hand-washing or dry-cleaning is recommended to keep it looking its best. Over time, regular machine washing gradually diminishes some of its original softness and shine.
Let's clarify one key point: silk can be machine-washed, yet repeated washing gradually leads to subtle whitening and surface abrasion. This is exactly where washable silk makes a difference—designed for easier care. Through a specialized pre-treatment, the fabric becomes significantly more resilient. Even after 30 machine washes, it retains its delicate sheen and soft hand feel. While this enhanced durability isn't permanent (since the fibers themselves aren't fundamentally altered), washable silk still offers far greater longevity and ease of care compared to regular silk, making everyday wear and washing worry-free.
